When You Walk In the Room

This is my favorite Jackie DeShannon song, even though she’s more famous for “What The World Needs Now (Is Love)” and “Put A Little Love In Your Heart”.  She also co-wrote “Bette Davis Eyes”.  One of the cool factoids about Jackie is that she was originally from Kentucky, but for a time she dated Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin.  How cool is that?

The video:  The hair.  The clothes.  The dancing.  The state of video technology at that time.  Ouch!    This song came out in 1963, and I claim to have been a kid at that time.  But years later when I sang with bands, this is one of the songs I chose.
